With internal dimensions of 334 × 334 × 200 mm, this safe accommodates lead pigs, source containers, and sealed isotopes while maintaining a compact footprint. The design features 17 mm thick lead shielding in all walls, the door, and the base, ensuring uniform gamma radiation attenuation from every direction.

A heavy-duty steel outer shell reinforces the structure, while the lead-shielded door prevents radiation leakage and is secured with a robust locking system for authorised access only. The interior layout can be customised with shelves or dividers to meet specific storage needs.

Both the exterior and interior are coated with a durable epoxy paint for long-term resistance against wear, scratches, and chemical cleaning agents. This coating is available in multiple colours to match facility standards or workflows.

In addition to its standalone function, the SC1317 can also be supplied as part of a custom source storage setup. These configurations may consist of multiple SC1317 units placed side-by-side and/or stacked, for example in a 4×4 or 1×3 arrangement. Such setups are ideal for facilities requiring high-capacity shielded storage while maintaining the same protection and security standards. All multi-unit configurations are custom-built on request to meet specific spatial, workflow, and safety requirements.
