Siemens Symbia Sources
Siemens Symbia™ sources are designed for calibration and quality control testing of Siemens Symbia SPECT/CT imaging systems equipped with the Auto Quality Control (AQC) option. These sources support routine and automated quality control procedures by providing stable and well-characterized reference geometries.
The Gd-153 Line Source (BM53-10) is a stainless steel, doubly encapsulated source intended for use with Siemens Symbia systems. It provides a uniformly distributed linear activity profile suitable for system uniformity evaluation. Uniformity is measured in defined segments along the active length, with activity variation controlled to meet strict quality criteria to ensure consistent and reproducible performance assessment.
The Co-57 Point Source (BMSY-057) is intended for use with Siemens Symbia SPECT/CT systems utilizing the AQC option and provides a compact reference source for automated quality control and system verification procedures.
Both sources are manufactured and verified to meet defined quality and activity specifications and are supplied with appropriate documentation, including activity specifications and leak test certification, to support regulatory compliance and quality assurance requirements.
