3″ Cs-137 Rod Source – 0.1 µCi
The 3″ Cs-137 Rod Source – 0.1 µCi is a precision-manufactured, end-loaded sealed source designed to provide stable, traceable radiation output. The source contains Cesium-137 (Cs-137) encapsulated at one end of a solid Lucite rod, ensuring consistent geometry and durable construction.
Each rod source is produced using gravimetric transference of NIST-traceable radioactive solutions, delivering a typical calibration accuracy of ±3% to ±5% at a 95% confidence level. Calibration is verified using a Sodium Iodide detector or Dose Calibrator to confirm measurement accuracy and traceability.
The Lucite rod measures 3″ (76 mm) in length with a 0.47″ (11.9 mm) diameter. The active end is color-coded for clear isotope identification and consistent handling.
Each source is supplied with:
- Certificate of Calibration
- Leak Test Certification
- Radiation Safety Handling Instructions
- Custom Decay Calendar
RadQual rod sources are manufactured for dimensional consistency, long-term stability, and dependable performance.
