RadQual’s custom Ba-133 sources for NASA’s PADRE (Polarization and Directivity X-Ray Experiment), were launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket for Transporter-14 mission on June 23, 2025. PADRE is a NASA CubeSat mission designed to study X-rays emitted during solar flares and our sources are now providing critical spectrum calibration data for the mission. PADRE is helping scientists better understand the mechanisms behind solar flares and their impact on space weather. We’re proud to have contributed our expertise and look forward to future updates and data from PADRE’s pioneering research.
